Environment

Protecting and safeguarding the environment and making rational use of resources are key elements in our sustainable development policy. Within this sustainable development philosophy, CRT Construction Inc. is committed to act in a responsible manner while adhering to all federal, provincial and municipal environmental laws and regulations in effect and while adopting work methods which promote the reduction of environmental impacts to a minimum.

This commitment is reflected through an environmental protection plan which is adapted to each and every project where the company is involved. This program is based on the rigorous application of environmental regulations as well as the elimination of potential sources of environmental contamination.

Our experience, expertise and know-how have enabled us to develop innovative techniques, thereby allowing us to minimize environmental impacts in several large-scale projects. Furthermore, these efforts were commended in January 2010, by the awarding of the PRIX GÉNIE-VOIRIE EN DÉVELOPPEMENT DURABLE 2010 (2010 Sustainable Development Prize for engineering and VRD) by Hydro Quebec within the framework of a reshaping of an intake project for groups 2, 4 and 6 at the La Tuque generating station.

Occupational health and safety and labour relations

CRT Construction Inc.?s expertise and know-how is also reflected through our efficient management policy dealing with health and safety on construction sites. While acting in the capacity of project manager or general contractor, we have developed and implemented efficient prevention and intervention methods, thereby ensuring the safety of all construction site participants.

Each project is adapted to a specific prevention program which is first subjected to a preliminary planning analysis by our professional team members. The importance given to the efficient management of health and safety components for our employees, managers and for company owners is reflected through safe work environments.

As well, CRT Construction Inc. relies on the services of a very competent and pro-active director of labour relations, fully proficient in efficiently supporting the management of our workforce and the resolution of any possible conflict, here in Quebec as well as across Canada. Labour disputes are virtually non-existent at CRT Construction Inc. and we are very proud of that fact.
